Las Vegas faces its third winter storm in a week as cold air and moisture converge over Southern Nevada. Clear skies overnight allowed temperatures to plummet into the 30s in the valley, with 20s in Indian Springs and teens in Tonopah. The approaching system will bring valley rain and heavy mountain snow by early afternoon.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the Spring Mountains, including Mt. Charleston, from 10 a.m. Thursday until 4 a.m. Friday. Wind Advisories cover Central Clark County and Mohave County, with gusts potentially reaching 55 mph in foothill neighborhoods. Lower snow levels could bring a rain-snow mix to far west valley neighborhoods near the 215 Southern Beltway.

Travel impacts are expected across the region, particularly along I-15 from Barstow to Baker, where stronger winds will create hazardous conditions. Areas like Mountain Pass, CA, could see accumulating snow, leading to possible road closures. Lee Canyon has already approached the 100-inch snowfall milestone this season. The storm should clear overnight, with temperatures rebounding to the 60s by Sunday and 70s next week.
