Billionaire investor Vinod Khosla predicts that today's 5-year-olds will never need traditional jobs thanks to AI's labor transformation. In a Fortune interview, Khosla said AI will handle 80% of jobs from doctors to accountants, making labor costs virtually zero and goods dramatically cheaper.

Khosla, whose Khosla Ventures was an early OpenAI investor, envisions a deflationary economy where people work only by choice. He predicts $15 trillion of U.S. GDP could disappear as automated labor drives down production costs, making $30,000 buy what $100,000 buys today.

This vision contrasts sharply with other executives' views. A recent survey found 90% of C-suite leaders saw no AI impact on employment or productivity in three years. They predict only 1.4% productivity gains through 2029, highlighting the debate over AI's actual workplace impact.
