Olowalu Land Company LLC has acquired the former Frisch's Big Boy property in Sugarcreek Township, Ohio, for $1.8 million. The Lexington-based developer purchased the site at the corner of Clyo Road and Wilmington Pike from NNN REIT LP on January 28. The restaurant closed in December 2024 after decades of operation at the location.

Lee Greer, who operates Greer Companies, is behind the acquisition. His firm has developed, owned, and operated over 60 full-service restaurants and casual eateries across multiple states. The property generated significant interest in late 2025, with township trustees noting it was under contract though the buyer remained unknown at the time.

Greer Companies has not disclosed plans for the site. The purchase represents another expansion for the Kentucky developer in the Ohio market. The transaction highlights continued investor interest in former restaurant properties in suburban markets, particularly those with established traffic patterns and visibility. The property's corner location and history as a long-standing dining destination make it attractive for redevelopment.
