Georgia-based Janus International Group Inc. (NYSE: JBI) will lay off 113 employees from its Houston facility as part of a consolidation. The self-storage door manufacturer informed Texas Workforce Commission of the permanent job cuts affecting 62 full-time and 51 temporary workers at its 8018 Breen Drive location after April 2.

The company has operated in Houston for two decades and will maintain its other local facility at 3950 Interwood South Parkway focused on Asta America commercial rolling steel doors. The layoffs impact key positions including rollers, stapler felters, axle assemblers, and material handlers as the company streamlines operations.

Market observers will watch whether this consolidation indicates broader restructuring at Janus, which has faced industry challenges amid changing consumer storage demands and supply chain pressures. The job reduction represents approximately 10% of Houston's workforce, suggesting significant operational shifts in the self-storage solutions market.
