A Department of Defense contractor responsible for vetting federal agents was among 30 suspects arrested in a Minnesota sex trafficking operation. Brashad Johnson, 36, conducted background checks for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other agencies while working as a security clearance investigator.

Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodgers called Johnson’s case particularly alarming given his role approving personnel for sensitive positions. The arrest exposes potential vulnerabilities in Homeland Security screening processes for employees tasked with national security functions.
