IAEA Confirms Natanz Plant Bombed in US-Israel Strikes

The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed Tuesday that entrances to Iran's underground uranium-enrichment facility at Natanz have been struck during U.S.-Israeli military operations. Satellite imagery revealed damage to entrance buildings of the Fuel Enrichment Plant, though the IAEA emphasized no radiological consequences were detected.

This attack follows Israel and the United States' strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities last June, which severely damaged the FEP itself. The Natanz facility represents one of Iran's three operational uranium-enrichment plants, making it a strategic target in ongoing tensions over Iran's nuclear program.

The IAEA's findings align with assessments from the Institute for Science and International Security, which published similar conclusions after Iran reported the Natanz strike on Sunday. The nuclear watchdog's confirmation adds international verification to claims about the scope of recent military actions.
