Harris Teeter will close its Morrisville location at McCrimmon Corners on or before April 17, marking the second Triangle store shutdown in recent months. The grocer, headquartered in Matthews, North Carolina, confirmed the closure after a strategic market review but declined to provide specific reasons for the decision.

Located at 4093 Davis Drive, this is Harris Teeter's only store in Morrisville, a town of approximately 32,600 residents. The closure leaves the area without any Harris Teeter locations, though nearby Cary offers multiple alternatives. The shopping center also houses Pizza Hut and Petland, alongside competitors like Wegmans, Food Lion, Walmart, Whole Foods Market, and Target.

The Morrisville store employs 70-80 associates who learned of the closure in mid-February. Harris Teeter says employees will be offered transfers to other locations. This follows last summer's shutdown of the Raleigh store at 5563 Western Boulevard, part of Kroger's plan to close 60 locations by December 2026.
