Eugene missed snow on Feb. 16, but surrounding high-elevation areas received accumulation. Blachly School District closed Feb. 17, while Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District operated on a 2-hour delay. The National Weather Service has adjusted its predictions for the region.

According to NWS Eugene, snow chances have decreased but remain in the forecast. There's a 40% chance of snow the night of Feb. 17, increasing to 100% on Feb. 18, then dropping to 50% on Feb. 19. Areas around 500 feet elevation like Eugene now have only a 5%-10% chance of seeing at least 1 inch of snow.

NWS forecasts freezing overnight temperatures between 27-33 degrees through Feb. 20, creating icy road conditions for morning commuters. The probability of snow melting during daytime remains over 80%, with rain forecast each day and daytime highs in the 40s. Higher-elevation communities in the 1,000-1,500 foot range, such as Oakridge, now have a 10%-20% chance of receiving at least 4 inches of snow.
