Eddie Bauer is closing its remaining 200 North American stores as part of bankruptcy proceedings, with customers facing a March 12 deadline to redeem gift cards and Adventure Points. The retailer has already shuttered several locations across New York, including Tanger Outlets in Deer Park and Fashion Outlets in Niagara Falls. All purchases made during the liquidation are final with no returns or exchanges accepted.

This marks the end of Eddie Bauer's brick-and-mortar operations in the U.S. and Canada after nearly a century in business. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, with liquidation sales underway at the remaining seven stores in New York. Locations still open include malls in Cheektowaga, Colonie, Lake George, Riverhead, Syracuse, Victor, and Waterloo.

The bankruptcy affects only the U.S. and Canadian retail divisions, while Eddie Bauer's online operations and wholesale business continue under separate ownership by Outdoor 5. International locations operated by different licensees remain unaffected. This closure represents a significant shift in the outdoor apparel market as one of America's oldest retailers exits physical retail entirely.
