Detroit police discovered three adult male bodies in the basement of a home after a man claiming he was assaulted led them there. The incident occurred near Fort Street on Wednesday, February 18th, while officers were already investigating a separate missing person's case nearby. The unidentified man ran to police, alleging he was attacked in the Edsel Street residence and that bodies were inside. Detroit Police Commander Rebecca McKay confirmed officers found the victims, described as approximately 50 years or older, in the basement. Three bodies were found wrapped in towels and carpeting with blood present throughout the scene.

Authorities have not released names, suspects, or a motive, and the victims' connection to the initial missing person's case remains unclear. The crime scene was secured by police tape, and the investigation is in its preliminary stages.
