The coastal town of 4,461 customers has been completely dark since Monday's storm, with officials warning some remote areas could face outages for up to five days.

Eversource crews from Michigan, Ohio, and Canada have joined local teams in Yarmouth to restore service, but progress has been slow. Brewster reports 95% outages affecting 8,512 customers, while Eastham sits at 96% without power. The utility company prioritized major circuits first, leaving neighborhoods and backyards for last.

Crews began working Monday amid blizzard conditions, but whipping winds and heavy snow made repairs nearly impossible. The number of outages has dropped from over 285,000 at the storm's peak to 160,052 as of Wednesday morning. Provincetown improved from complete darkness to 63% outages. Warming centers have opened across affected areas, though blocked roads continue to hamper relief efforts.
