Kevin Lemanowicz, Boston 25's chief meteorologist for three decades, is departing the station next week. Lemanowicz joined the Fox affiliate when it launched in 1996 and has been the station's sole chief meteorologist throughout his tenure. The veteran weathercaster announced his departure in a statement, calling his service "the privilege of a lifetime."

During his 30-year career at Boston 25, Lemanowicz covered numerous major weather events, including the 2011 tornadoes in Western Massachusetts, the 2015 snowstorms across the state, and the 2023 flooding in Leominster. In 2016, he was honored as a Silver Circle recipient by the Boston/New England chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. News director Scott Isaacs praised Lemanowicz's professionalism and accuracy, noting his forecasts were "the most accurate in the market."

Lemanowicz, who holds a degree in meteorology from Cornell University and is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, previously worked at WTIC in Hartford, the New England Weather Service, Fleetweather, and WVIT-TV. While the station hasn't disclosed why he's leaving, Lemanowicz mentioned moving on to the "next chapter" in his career. Boston 25 plans to celebrate his contributions throughout next week before his final broadcast on Friday, Feb. 27.
