Lindsey Slater, a popular Milwaukee meteorologist, has departed from WISN-TV (Channel 12) after nearly a decade with the station. Slater, who served as the on-air early morning meteorologist since July 2019, didn't appear on the station's morning newscasts the week of Feb. 23-27, and her name no longer appears on the staff page.

WISN-TV President Shawn Oswald confirmed the departure in an email to employees, stating the station "wishes her well in her future endeavors." Slater updated her LinkedIn profile to reflect her departure in February. The station has launched a search for her replacement, while meteorologists Molly Bernard and Gino Recchia handle weekday morning weather reports.

Slater joined WISN in 2016 after interning there in 2006 and working in other markets. The reason for her departure remains unclear, with neither WISN nor Slater commenting on the personnel change. Her exit leaves a void in the station's morning news lineup as Milwaukee viewers await the announcement of her successor.
