SharkNinja is developing an AI tool to let its finance team monitor profitability in real time, potentially cutting weeks off the monthly forecast process. The appliance maker's CFO Adam Quigley said building a forecast currently takes several weeks, involving gathering sales data, determining profit margins, working through expenses, and analyzing monthly performance. "By the end of it, you're reacting to a P&L that got inputs three weeks ago," he noted.

The tool is among several major AI investments by SharkNinja. It aims to shift finance from backward-looking reporting to proactive decision-making, giving the company a competitive edge in a fast-moving consumer market.

Separately, defense contractor L3Harris Technologies ousted its CEO following an internal investigation, the company disclosed. The leadership change adds to uncertainty in the defense sector amid shifting government priorities.
