Nvidia is partnering with Einride to support the scale-up of autonomous trucks as the Swedish autonomous-truck maker looks to boost production to meet rising demand for driverless vehicles. Nvidia will provide the underlying compute platform and artificial-intelligence tools to Einride’s autonomous-driving systems. Einride said it currently operates hundreds of electric trucks for major shipping clients across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, and expects demand to increase to between 1,500 and 2,000 vehicles by 2028.

Some 80% of that demand is suitable for automation in the medium term, which will add to the driverless trucks it already has in operation.
