Hermes reported second‑quarter revenue of 4.09 billion euros ($4.66 billion), a 6.7% increase year‑on‑year excluding currency effects. The figure topped analysts’ consensus of 4.07 billion euros, according to Visible Alpha. For the first quarter the group had already posted a 5.6% rise in sales.

The performance was driven by growth across all regions, with the exception of the Middle East, which showed good resilience in a challenging environment. Demand for the iconic Birkin bag remained strong, contributing to the overall uptick. Hermes said the luxury sector is beginning to leave years of sluggish demand behind.

Analysts view the result as a sign that luxury companies may be exiting a prolonged downturn. The Parisian fashion house’s rebound aligns with broader industry expectations of an upswing. Visible Alpha’s data highlighted that Hermes outperformed estimates, reinforcing confidence in the sector’s recovery.

Looking ahead, Hermes anticipates continued momentum as consumer appetite for high‑end goods returns. The company will monitor regional trends, especially in the Middle East, while leveraging its strong product lineup to sustain growth.
