Edwards Lifesciences has narrowed its full-year sales outlook after experiencing double-digit growth in the second quarter, largely driven by its transcatheter aortic valve replacement division. The medical-technology company now anticipates full-year sales between $6.6 billion and $6.9 billion, revising the lower end of its previous guidance. This adjustment follows a strong performance in the recent quarter.

Despite the narrowed outlook, the company's stock saw a 6.5% increase in after-hours trading, reaching $89.26. Edwards Lifesciences maintained its previous forecast for adjusted earnings per share, expecting it to range from $2.95 to $3.05 for the entire year.

For the third quarter, Edwards Lifesciences projects sales between $1.63 billion and $1.71 billion, with adjusted earnings per share estimated at 71 cents to 77 cents. These projections align closely with analyst expectations, who, according to Fact Set, anticipate sales of $1.69 billion and adjusted earnings of 75 cents per share.
