Cava Group reported second-quarter earnings on Thursday, posting a profit of $23 million, or 19 cents a share, compared with $18.4 million, or 16 cents a share, a year earlier. The per-share result beat analyst projections by a penny, according to FactSet. Revenue climbed 31% to $365.4 million, topping analyst forecasts of $360 million.

The Mediterranean fast-casual chain attributed the gains to new store openings and climbing customer traffic. Same-store sales growth also contributed to the stronger performance. Cava has been expanding its footprint while benefiting from rising consumer demand for its menu offerings.

Analysts had expected earnings of 18 cents a share on revenue of $360 million. The company's results underscore the strength of the fast-casual segment, particularly among health-conscious diners. Cava continues to invest in digital ordering and loyalty programs to sustain momentum.
