Block has raised its full-year guidance and reported increased second-quarter revenue. This positive performance in its commerce and financial solutions segments helped to counteract a decline in Bitcoin-related business.

Despite the overall revenue growth, Block's net income for the second quarter saw a significant decrease, falling to $87.1 million from $538.3 million in the same period last year. Earnings per share also dropped to 15 cents, compared to 87 cents a year earlier.

The company, which owns popular platforms like Cash App and Square, noted that the strength in its financial solutions and commerce divisions was a key driver for the improved outlook, even as it navigates the volatility associated with Bitcoin.
