Ross Stores Inc. raised its annual profit outlook for a second time this year, signaling that the discount retailer’s momentum is holding up. The company now expects full-year earnings of $2.53 to $2.60 per share, up from its prior range of $2.45 to $2.55. Ross Stores also increased its revenue forecast, projecting net sales between $5.75 billion and $5.85 billion, compared with the previous outlook of $5.65 billion to $5.75 billion.

The improved guidance comes after Ross Stores reported strong second-quarter results, with earnings of $0.66 per share on revenue of $1.48 billion. Comparable store sales rose 5.4%, marking the 13th consecutive quarter of growth. The retailer credited its performance to disciplined inventory management and strong customer demand for branded merchandise at discounted prices.

Ross Stores operates over 1,600 locations across 49 states and Puerto Rico. The company continued to benefit from inflation-driven shopping shifts, with customers trading down to its value-oriented model. Executives noted that the second-half outlook remains positive, supported by lean inventory levels and a resilient consumer base.

The revised outlook reflects confidence in sustained momentum, with management emphasizing that the current environment favors their off-price retail strategy.
