Meanwhile, Edgar Basto will assume a new chief enterprise performance officer role in September, adding contractor safety duties to his portfolio and sharpening operational oversight across global operations for improved.

The reshuffle sharpens BHP’s focus on the Americas as a key growth engine while reinforcing leadership in Australia and South America. Farrell’s role positions her to drive North American performance, whereas Basto’s new post aims to tighten safety standards across contractor engagements.
