The dollar rose to a two-week high as ongoing U.S.-Iran tensions supported safe-haven assets. U.S. stock futures were higher, with the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq all up 0.1% amid broadly subdued U.S. inflation data that might allow the Federal Reserve to hold interest rates. Treasury yields were lower and gold prices fell. European indexes were mostly higher, though London's FTSE 100 dropped 0.3% as miners fell following Antofagasta cutting its production guidance for the year.

Antofagasta shares fell 4.7%, while Rio Tinto (4.2%), Fresnillo (4%) and Anglo American (2.7%) also declined. The Europe-wide Stoxx 600 index rose 0.1%, with Germany's DAX (0.35%) and France's CAC 40 (0.2%) up. Adyen led the Stoxx 600 upward trend at +9.1%.

Ipek Ozkardeskaya of Swissquote noted that the 'delayed Fed rate hike' idea gave a fresh boost to equity markets.
