Robinhood Markets unveiled AI-powered trading agents at its annual user event in HOUSTON at the George R. Brown Convention Center, positioning the tools as the next evolution in retail investing. The in-app AI agent can answer market questions, build investment strategies and place trades automatically while users sleep, work or are away from their screens.

CEO Vlad Tenev described agentic trading as giving everyday traders capabilities once reserved for hedge funds, enabling conversational prompts for research and automated execution—such as running a 'wheel strategy' with the upcoming 'Loops' feature. This aligns with an industrywide shift to embed AI in how Americans invest, replacing older models where traders paid commissions for every trade. The bots will operate like 'driverless cars of Wall Street,' executing trades on stocks, options, bitcoin and prediction-market contracts continuously.

Robinhood has already opened agentic trading accounts to over 150,000 customers, though agents can only access dedicated accounts and users may manually approve trades. The company also plans 24/7 trading for select U.S. stocks and will introduce perpetual futures to U.S. customers in coming months, allowing leveraged, round-the-clock betting. This push follows Robinhood's rise during the 2021 meme-stock frenzy and its recent efforts to stabilize after shedding nearly 80% of its value post-IPO.
