Interactive Brokers has launched a new platform that lets clients bet on political, economic and climate outcomes, joining Kalshi and its own ForecastEx.

The brokerage will not list sports or pop‑culture contracts, focusing instead on elections, the economy and climate events. The move signals a push to attract institutional investors to the growing prediction‑market niche.

By expanding its contract catalogue, Interactive Brokers positions itself as a broader financial services provider, potentially boosting trading volumes and fee income from a new, high‑interest asset class.
