Gencore Global, a UK‑based health and wellness company that sponsors events, a racehorse and a combat‑sports promotion, is tied to an underground Telegram market selling anabolic steroids, peptides and prescription‑only medicines. The Guardian identified about a dozen Gencore ambassadors, affiliates and employees with a combined TikTok and Instagram following of more than 180,000 who promote the illicit products through a rebranded chat called Anabolic By Nature, formerly Rohm.

The Telegram group lists dozens of steroids, experimental peptides such as BPC‑157 and TB‑500, and drugs like tirzepatide and human growth hormone, offering a 12% sales commission. Founder and CEO Darren Wicks runs the chat, advises on transport logistics and encourages ambassadors to recruit new members for commissions. The channel has attracted over 5,500 members since April, while its predecessor reached 13,000 members in November 2025.

In the UK, possession of anabolic steroids is legal, but sale, supply or unlicensed import is a criminal offence. The exposure of Gencore’s role could trigger regulatory scrutiny, potential fines and reputational damage, jeopardizing its sponsorship deals and upcoming appearances at events such as the National Running Show. Investors should monitor possible enforcement actions and the impact on Gencore’s revenue streams from its legitimate supplement line.
