The University of Florida has blocked the University of Florida College Republicans from operating on campus following accusations of antisemitism, including a photo showing two individuals performing a Nazi salute. Interim President Donald W. Landry stated the university supports its Jewish community and remains committed to addressing antisemitism and discrimination.

The student group, however, filed a federal lawsuit alleging the university violated its First Amendment rights by punishing protected off-campus speech. The dispute centers on conduct by a national affiliate, the Florida Federation of College Republicans, which reported the antisemitic behavior to the university. The College Republicans of America, a rival national group associated with the campus chapter, condemned the behavior as unrepresentative of Republican principles.

The case highlights growing tensions within the Republican Party over antisemitism, particularly among younger activists, and follows other incidents involving offensive language by conservative youth groups. The university declined detailed comment on the allegations or the lawsuit.
