A shooting at an In‑N‑Out in Twin Falls, Idaho, left multiple people dead and others injured on Saturday afternoon, officials reported.

Spokesman Josh Palmer said the shooter was deceased and that shelter‑in‑place orders had been lifted. Police Chief Matthew Hicks told reporters the threat to the community was over.

Although authorities have not released an exact death toll, the city earlier told CNN that at least 3 people were killed, and it is unclear whether the shooter is included in that figure.

The lone active shooter was believed to have been on the scene, and investigators are working to identify his motives. The incident joined a growing list of attacks in ordinary settings across the country.
