A Russian strike on the city of Izium in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region injured three people and damaged civilian infrastructure, Ukrainian authorities said on Monday. The attack damaged a warehouse, a private home, a petrol station and around 40 garages, according to Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov. It also sparked two fires that engulfed a metal hangar and a warehouse building across a combined area of 500 square metres before emergency crews brought the blaze under control.

Polish police arrested two men suspected of carrying out a violent assault on a Ukrainian couple in the city of Wroclaw, as authorities continue to search for a third suspect. The attack took place on Sunday when a 20‑year‑old Ukrainian woman and her 21‑year‑old partner were allegedly beaten by three men in what police believe was a nationality‑motivated assault. Polish interior minister Marcin Kierwiński said both detained suspects had previous criminal records, with one apprehended by counter‑terrorism officers while attempting to leave the city.
