University of South Florida graduate students Nahida Bristy and Zamil Limon, both 27, were identified from remains found in Tampa Bay. Bristy's body, discovered in a black trash bag in a mangrove, was confirmed via DNA testing by Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. Limon's remains were found on the Howard Frankland Bridge last week, bound and stabbed.

Both victims, from Bangladesh, were last seen April 16. Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, Limon's roommate, faces two first-degree murder charges after investigators found bloodied evidence at their shared apartment, including a blood pool extending from the kitchen to his bedroom. Abugharbieh's phone search history revealed queries about knives and gunshots before the disappearances, and he purchased contractor bags and duct tape days prior. His family reported domestic violence incidents, including groping attempts.

Sheriff Chronister called the case "monstrous," noting defensive wounds on Abugharbieh and evidence linking both murders to the apartment. The victims' deaths, initially reported missing, sparked a months-long investigation involving vehicle searches and forensic analysis of blood evidence.
