Former Police Officers Plead Not Guilty to Stealing From Prostitute in Queens

Two former New York City police officers pleaded not guilty in federal court Tuesday to charges they violated a woman's civil rights while responding to a brothel complaint. Justin Colon and Justin McMillan, both 24 and 26, were arrested March 10th and appeared in Brooklyn federal court. They face conspiracy against rights and deprivation of rights under color of law charges, with McMillan additionally charged with the latter.

Prosecutors allege the officers, who had shut off their body cameras, stole cash and a building key from a woman leaving the Flushing townhouse in July 2024. Eight hours later, they returned, used the stolen key, and McMillan took $200 from a naked prostitute while Colon watched. The officers resigned from the force in March 2025 after being indicted on state charges dismissed in December for a speedy trial violation.

Their lawyers declined comment. McMillan is the son of retired officers, now working as an Amazon driver and DJ, while Colon works in logistics.
