Dr. Kruger Leaves Elite Clinics After Epstein Ties

Dr. Bernard Kruger has stepped away from two elite Manhattan medical practices following revelations about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. The physician, who once provided private emergency room memberships to Epstein and unnamed 'girls,' has retired from Atria Health and Research Institute and is on leave from Sollis Health's board.

Kruger's departure comes after The New York Times reported he was part of a small circle of specialists who provided V.I.P. treatment to Epstein in the decade before his 2019 death. Emails showed Kruger's practice charged Epstein $15,000 for annual memberships covering him and five 'girls,' with an accountant noting names weren't required for 'more flexibility.'

Sollis Health launched an internal review after learning about Kruger's past interactions with the convicted sex offender. Atria, founded after Epstein's death, announced Kruger's retirement in an email thanking him for his contributions. A spokesman for Kruger said the doctor believes any lapses were clerical errors and that physicians who treated Epstein shouldn't be implicated by his crimes. The developments highlight ongoing scrutiny of medical professionals who maintained relationships with the disgraced financier.
