Midwest Poultry Services is recalling 1.6 million eggs from its Texas farms due to potential Salmonella Enteritidis contamination, the FDA announced Wednesday. The recall covers white-shell and cage-free eggs produced between June 6 and July 3 with sell-by dates through August 17.

Affected eggs were sold under brands including Kroger, Simple Truth, Brookshire's, Country Morning, and Sunups at retailers across six states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. No illnesses have been reported.

The company identified the issue through proactive environmental monitoring and has paused distribution from the affected farms. Consumers should not eat the recalled eggs and should return them for a full refund. A complete product list is available in the FDA recall notice.
