Workspace Group announced that Charlie Green will become its new CEO, taking over from Lawrence Hutchings on February 2. Green co-founded The Office Group, which grew to more than 70 UK locations before Blackstone acquired a majority stake in 2017.

Hutchings is stepping down immediately after helping define the company’s "Fix, Accelerate and Scale" strategy. The outgoing CEO described his tenure as "a privilege" and expressed pride in the groundwork laid for future growth.

The leadership change comes as the flexible workspace sector faces evolving demand. Chair Duncan Owen voiced confidence in Green’s ability to drive operational performance and accelerate the existing strategic plan.

Tom Edwards-Moss is set to join as CFO Designate on February 23, with current CFO Dave Benson remaining until April 30 to ensure transition stability. The company will release its Q3 update on January 21.
