The Pentagon announced that US and Israeli forces have achieved complete control of Iranian airspace just four days into Operation Epic Fury. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said American air power has reached twice the intensity of the 2003 Iraq invasion, with over 2,000 targets struck since Saturday morning.

Six American service members have been killed, including four from Iowa's 103rd Sustainment Command. General Dan Gaine reported Iranian ballistic missile launches down 86% and drone launches down 73% since operations began. The US Navy sank an Iranian warship using a Mark 48 torpedo, the first such sinking since World War Two.

Iranian naval vessels including a submarine have been destroyed, and the Pentagon claims Iran's air force and navy are now combat ineffective. More than 90% of American troops have been relocated from bases within Iranian missile range. Regional partners including Qatar, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia are participating in defensive operations. The US is investigating reports of a strike on a girls school in southern Iran, though officials maintain civilian locations are never targeted.
