Persimmon delivered 11,905 homes in 2025, marking a 12% year-on-year increase and surpassing market forecasts. The UK housebuilder’s private completions rose 8% to 9,830, though partnership completions dipped due to weaker demand in the build-to-rent segment. Average selling prices climbed, with the private ASP rising 5% to around £301,000.

Incentives held steady at 4–5%. Net private sales per outlet remained flat at 0.70 per week, but overall sales improved as the company expanded its network to an average of 271 outlets. Forward sales grew 2% to £1.17 billion, driven by stronger owner-occupier demand.

CEO Dean Finch said the company performed well in a tough market and expects profit before tax to land at the upper end of expectations. Persimmon begins 2026 with a strong order book, though broader market conditions are unlikely to improve much. The housing market has faced headwinds from higher mortgage rates and economic uncertainty.

Persimmon’s performance signals resilience among major builders amid cautious consumer spending.
