Michelin Stock Falls After Goodyear Misses Estimates

Michelin shares dipped in European trading following Goodyear's weak quarterly results. Goodyear reported fourth-quarter earnings per share of $0.39, falling short of Bloomberg's consensus estimate of $0.49.

The tire maker also cut its outlook for global volumes, projecting a 10% decline in 2026 due to inventory build-up and weather issues. Analysts at Citi noted Michelin, more exposed to the struggling U.S. truck market than peers like Pirelli, saw only a modest 0.3% drop. Goodyear's 10% volume slide is a key concern for the sector.
