Loomis AB's shares surged following the announcement of record fourth-quarter margins. The cash-handling firm reported its operating cash flow reached SEK 1.40 billion, equivalent to 138% of operating income. This performance was fueled by strong demand for precious metals storage. The company's international business line also saw significant growth, exceeding 30% in the quarter.

Revenue for the quarter dipped slightly due to currency headwinds, but organic growth remained positive. Operating income before interest, taxes, and amortization rose, lifting the margin to a record 13.2%. CEO Aritz Larrea attributed the success to the uncertain geopolitical climate. Loomis's USA segment also achieved record results.

Despite the strong operational performance, net income for the quarter decreased due to one-time charges, including a non-cash goodwill impairment. For the full year, the company's revenue was relatively flat due to currency effects. Investors will watch how Loomis navigates ongoing currency fluctuations and manages its international expansion.

Loomis is a global leader in cash handling services. Rising geopolitical tensions often lead to increased demand for secure logistics and physical asset management, which benefits companies like Loomis. The company's focus on secure logistics and valuables transportation positions it well for future growth.
