Anthropic Revenue Hits $19B as Claude Code Drives Growth

Anthropic's annual recurring revenue has surged to $19 billion, more than doubling its run rate from late last year, CEO Dario Amodei revealed at a Morgan Stanley conference. The AI company added $6 billion in February alone, building on momentum from $9 billion in December and $14 billion just weeks ago. Bloomberg first reported the projection.

The growth stems from strong adoption of Anthropic's AI models and products, particularly Claude Code, which automates coding tasks. The San Francisco-based company, now valued at $380 billion, has gained traction helping businesses streamline operations. This revenue acceleration comes despite mounting tensions with the Pentagon over AI safeguards and military applications.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently declared Anthropic a supply-chain risk, potentially cutting off government contracts after the company pushed for restrictions on Pentagon use of its AI for surveillance and autonomous weapons. Amodei emphasized Anthropic's commitment to America while seeking resolution with the Department of Defense, signaling the company must navigate both explosive commercial growth and complex government relations.
