Unilever upgraded its full‑year guidance after reporting its best quarter of sales volume growth in 16 years. Underlying sales rose 5.8 per cent to €13 bn, driven by volume growth of 5.5 per cent, the biggest uplift since 2010.

Strong demand in Latin America and India powered the result. In India sales jumped 10 per cent as home‑care and haircare brands gained share, while Brazil and Argentina posted double‑digit growth helped by a World Cup Rexona promotion. The company now expects full‑year sales growth “within” 4‑6 % and volumes of 3 %, up from the previous 2 % target. Shares rose 6.5 per cent in early London trading.

CEO Fernando Fernández said the results show Unilever’s ability to perform while transforming its portfolio. Activist investor Nelson Peltz remains on the board. Unilever is also combining its food business with McCormick to create a $66 bn venture, with a secondary London listing and completion expected mid‑2027 after the ice‑cream spin‑off Magnum Ice Cream Company listed in the Netherlands.
