Microsoft defied the gloom, forecasting a 45% revenue growth next quarter and seeing shares rise 9% after hours. The firm signed $130bn of new data‑centre leases and CEO Satya Nadella said it will roughly double capacity in two years.

Qualcomm posted $9.9bn in revenue, down 4%, and its shares fell 4.5% after hours, while Arm reported solid revenue with royalties more than doubling, yet its shares still slid 6%.

Other headlines include US strikes on Iran, low US crude stockpiles, and a 19‑year high in Treasury yields.
