UK Police Arrest Two Latvian Men Over Breach at Airbase Moira Warburton British police arrested two men for trespass and national security offenses at an airbase in east England, just days after a suspected terror plot attempt at another airbase that was home to US bomber jets. The two men, both Latvian nationals in their 30s, were arrested on Wednesday night following security patrols near RAF Molesworth in Cambridgeshire. Officers found a “small breach” of the perimeter fence, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

There is nothing to suggest at this stage that the two separate airbase incidents are related, police added. Both incidents are being investigated by counter terrorism police. RAF Molesworth, located about 90 miles (145 kilometers) north of London, houses the US Joint Intelligence Operations Center Europe and is garrisoned by a US Air Force base group.

The Pentagon evacuated its bombers based at RAF Fairford last week over suspected threats of an attack from Iran.
