The Atlantic has whipped up Tropical Storm Dolly, but the National Hurricane Center says the name isn't a tribute to Dolly Parton, the country music singer who died earlier this week. The storm, with winds of 40 miles (64 kilometers) per hour, grew from a patch of thunderstorms about 1,555 miles from the Caribbean's Leeward Islands, the center said in an 11 a.m. advisory.

Storm Dolly is forecast to be short-lived and will probably collapse before nearing land, though it could still bring heavy rain to parts of the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico.
