The government is considering pausing the tax as one of several measures to support the agriculture sector, a person close to the government said, declining to be identified because the information isn't public. Vedomosti newspaper reported the plan earlier on Tuesday.

The duty suspension aims to stabilize grain exports disrupted by the ongoing conflict. Government officials are evaluating the measure alongside other support options for the sector. The move comes as Ukraine continues targeting Russian Black Sea infrastructure.
