A Mexico real estate investment trust focused on the education sector is looking to raise as much as $200 million in additional debt this year as it plans to snap up more campus properties. Fibra Educa is seeking to issue an additional 3 billion to 3.5 billion pesos in the local market by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approvals, according to Chief Executive Officer Raúl Martínez Solares. The REIT aims to strengthen its portfolio and pursue further acquisitions in the educational real estate space.

This debt raise would support Fibra Educa's expansion strategy and enhance its financial flexibility in the Mexican market.
