Asian spot liquefied natural gas advanced on sustained concerns about the Strait of Hormuz, with Qatar extending force majeure on deliveries of the fuel to European and Asian buyers by another month. Spot prices rose to $23.388 per million British thermal units, according to traders. State-owned Qatar Energy this week notified Pakistani buyers that LNG cargo cancellations will continue into October, traders familiar with the matter said.
