Milwaukee, owners of the MLB-best record, followed with a 20-0 demolition of the Reds, powered by Garrett Mitchell's first grand slam of the season — one of four Brewers homers — to clinch a playoff berth.

Diamondbacks reliever Justin Martinez struck out Wyatt Langford, Evan Carter and Jake Burger on nine pitches Friday, the sixth immaculate inning in franchise history. Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole could not make the proper adjustments in Saturday's 12-2 loss to the Mets and called the cause of his latest poor outing tough to pin down. Philadelphia received encouraging news when an MRI on Jesús Luzardo showed no serious damage in his left shoulder, though he will not throw for a couple of days due to stiffness. The Phillies also reinstated left-hander Tanner Banks from the 60-day injured list before Sunday's game against the Braves in Atlanta.

Roster Moves
