Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro will feature a narrower Dynamic Island capable of displaying three Live Activities simultaneously, up from the current two-task limit, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The "smaller and improved" Dynamic Island on both iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models will allow users to "toggle between three live tasks" at the top of the screen. This marks the first major change to the Dynamic Island since its introduction with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in 2022.

Design-wise, the iPhone 18 Pro models closely resemble the iPhone 17 Pro lineup, with a new "burgundy red" color option replacing Cosmic Orange. Sky blue and Silver have also been reported as potential colors. Internal upgrades include the A20 Pro chip built on TSMC's 2nm process, longer battery life, a revamped vapor chamber cooling system, and a mechanical aperture lens for improved depth of field and low-light performance — though the lens may be exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
