Packard Bell is back with a full relaunch at IFA 2026, ditching beige for orange, purple, green and yellow. The brand, part of Acer Group, is positioned around affordable consumer tech with a "Tech it easy" tagline. Valerie Piau, EMEA vice president at Acer Europe SA, says the goal is simple everyday technology at a fair price.

The catch: Acer will only offer the new Packard Bell range in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Dot Book is a 14.5-inch laptop with a 1,920 x 1,200 IPS display, Intel Core 3 N355 processor, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB storage. It weighs under 2.9 pounds with up to seven hours of battery life. Prices start at €499 (about $580).

The collection goes beyond PCs, including the Dot Loop suitcase turntable, Dot Line 4G feature phone, Dot Look audio glasses, headphones, a ring light and a connected mini-steamer with Steasy. Acer promises multilingual support in 28 countries.

There is no US comeback for now, despite Packard Bell's 1990s prominence at Sears, Walmart, Best Buy and others. By 1994, it surpassed IBM as the third-largest US PC maker with 11.5 percent market share. Acer acquired a 75 percent stake in Packard Bell's parent for $45.8 million in 2008.
