Separately, CNN, MS NOW and Politico sued the Trump administration for barring them from the White House grounds, arguing the ban violated their First Amendment rights. Trump banned the outlets Friday over negative coverage. Major TV networks suspended pooled coverage after the White House refused to let CNN serve as pool representative. Trump defended his actions on social media, writing the White House is not assaulting the Free Press but “FAKE NEWS.”
