NFL Roster Moves & Free Agency Grades
The Minnesota Vikings elected to bolster their quarterback room Thursday, agreeing to a one-year contract with veteran Carson Wentz to provide immediate depth behind Sam Howell and J.J. McCarthy in a critical season for the franchise. This move comes as analysts continue to evaluate the preceding free agency period; specifically, evaluators have now identified only 16 total transactions—spanning signings and trades—that earned a top "A" grade among the more than 60 deals reviewed over the past few weeks. Meanwhile, teams like the Washington Commanders are still targeting key holes on their roster, including finding a starting receiver, a reliable cornerback, and a center to solidify their offensive line before the draft.
